Anyone with an interest in plant protection is welcome to join. PestNet is free and is moderated, ensuring that messages are confined to plant protection.
December 2001. Two moths were sent for identification by the Entomology and Zoology Division, Department of Agriculture, Bangkok.
First row. Geometrid moth with wing span: male 60-64 mm; female 68 mm. The Geometrid is Abraxas sp., probably Alugubris
Second row. Lasiocampid moth with wing span: male 81 mm: female 100-120 mm. It was thought that this was a Paralebeda species. Although other thought it might be Lymantria dispar, the Gypsy moth. However, it was said that L dispar does not occur in Thailand.
