January 2005. A ladybird found feeding voraciously on the cypress aphid, Cinara cupressivora, a very destructive insect in Ethiopia.
It was suggested that is was Coccinella transversalis, but this was disputed and a photo of that insect was presented (bottom, right). Other suggestions were Hippodamia variegata (Adonia variegata) or a Harmonia sp.
