October 2005. Help was requested from India for the identification of the caterpillar on Tectona in the state of Chhattisgarh. These insects are used as folk medicine in treatment of urticaria. Submitted to Ecoport.
A member said they look like the young of either a Lymantriid or Limacodid caterpillar. If it is a caterpillar can you get a close-up picture, then help could be given.
